AMBERWOOD HOMES - The Custom Home Initial Design and Budget Meeting Process

INITIAL DESIGN & BUDGET MEETING

Your first meeting with Amberwood Homes will include an extensive discussion about your design ideas and budget considerations. We’ll provide input based on our 25 years of experience of building custom homes. We’ll show you examples of floorplans that we have already built on our state-of-the-art 3-dimensional computerized drafting system that will actually put you inside the home! As the rough floor plan is developed on the computer system, we will discuss building materials and features that you desire to be included in your new home, including overall square footage, number of bedrooms and room sizes, window type, exterior and interior door locations, entryways, kitchen layout, counter tops, a home theater or home office, type of exterior design and treatment, handcrafted woodwork, finished interior touches, roof tiling, among many other things.

In order to accomplish as much as possible, please have these items available: (1) your lot information, including subdivision deed restrictions; (2) a survey of your lot or a plot of the subdivision; (3) a budget range you desire to invest in building your new home; (4) the time frame for starting construction; and, (5) interior and exterior design ideas. Also, bring any photos or magazine clips that you have been collecting, since these may help us move quickly to determine a floor plan layout that will suit your lifestyle and budget considerations.

At the conclusion of this first meeting, Amberwood Homes will have obtained sufficient information to begin a custom floor plan layout to be ready for your review at your next meeting with us.
